The Writing On The Wall

In 539 BC, King Belshazzar of Babylon, decided to give a big banquet, and he invited a thousand nobles to eat and drink wine with him at the king’s palace. Belshazzar ordered that the wine be served in the gold and silver goblets that his grandfather, King Nebuchadnezzar, had taken from the Lord’s Temple in Jerusalem, before burning the temple and the city to the ground.

As all of the attendees drank wine from these sacred instruments, they began to give praise to the gods of gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood and stone. The banquet became an orgy of idol worship and blasphemy to Almighty God.

Suddenly, the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote some words on the plaster of the walls. Everyone in the room witnessed this event. And as the king watched, he became very frightened, his face turned pale, his knees knocked and his legs gave way (see Daniel 5:5-6).

Nobody in the room could understand the writing. The king called in all of his wise men; the enchanters, astrologers, diviners, etc., but none could read the writing, nor determine its meaning. Finally, the queen suggested the king send for the prophet Daniel. Daniel had proven to be a man-of-God, and had accurately interpreted dreams for Belshazzar’s grandfather, King Nebuchadnezzar.

When Daniel viewed the writing he told the king, “The words written are these: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN. And their message is this: ‘God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end. You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting. Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.’”

That very night Belshazzar, king of the Babylonians, was slain, and Darius the Mede [Cyrus] took over the kingdom at the age of sixty-two (see Daniel 5:30).

Almighty God is a patient, loving God. But it is foolish for anyone to believe that they can continually provoke, dishonor, disrespect, and disobey Almighty God . . . and never suffer the consequences of their sins.

And yet, that seems to be the thinking of the leaders of the Marxists-driven Democrat Party. Instead of turning away from their evil agenda of abortion, same-sex marriage, and support for the LGBTQ+ homosexual lifestyle; they now are adding to that evil agenda by siding with the Arab-Palestinians and calling for punitive action against Israel for protecting their own citizens from terrorist attacks, and defending the land that God gave to them.

God’s Word clearly says “He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.” God always keeps his word – God sees everything we do – nothing is hidden from God. Men and women who do things that are an abomination to God, or turn their backs on God by rejecting His ways, can be struck down without notice (see Job 34:21-28).

And that warning also applies to those people who willfully follow evil-minded leaders in an attempt to “go along to get along.” God sees what they are doing, and they will not be exempt from the wrath of God.

It is time for all American citizens, and all political and religious leaders to wake up and see the Writing On The Wall. We too are being weighed on God’s scales, and many of us are being found wanting in the eyes of Almighty God. We must come to our senses and put a stop to this demonic-inspired madness that’s going on all across this nation.

The 1921 Tulsa Race Riot

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum apologized on Monday, June 1, 2021, for the city’s role in the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot, which has now been renamed The Tulsa Race Massacre and publicized around the world.

The 43-year-old mayor, George Theron Bynum IV, in addressing the 100-year-old incident on Facebook said, “As the Mayor of Tulsa, I apologize for the city government’s failure to protect our community in 1921 and to do right by the victims of the Race Massacre in its aftermath. The victims – men, women, young children – deserved better from their city, and I am so sorry they didn’t receive it.”

Mayor Bynum, who is not known to be an historian, called this “the worst moment in our city’s history.”

Mayor Bynum is the 40th mayor of Tulsa, and to my knowledge, the first to ever publically announce “the City of Tulsa failed to protect its citizens.” With this public admission of failure, the mayor has unwittingly, or perhaps purposely, opened the door for multiple lawsuits against the city.

Some lawsuits seeking reparations for the victims were filed in September 2020, and I’m sure there will be many more to come. However, Mayor Bynum has political ambition, and seems to relish every opportunity to place himself in the media spotlight, even when the spotlight casts a dark cloud over the City of Tulsa.

If the City of Tulsa is found guilty, and the court orders the city to pay millions of dollars to the victims; where will the money come from? The city’s only source of revenue is sales tax, traffic fines, building permits, and city utilities; i.e., water, sewer, storm sewer, trash service, etc.

Those fees are collected from every person living and working in Tulsa – and that includes African-American descendants of the 1921 Massacre. Will those fees collected from these descendants now be used to pay reparations to those same descendants; i.e., will they be required to pay themselves for the damages they incurred because of the city’s failure to protect its citizens?

And what about people who only recently moved to Tulsa — and people who’ve lived in Tulsa for years, but knew nothing about, nor had any connection to the 1921 incident? Surely no reasonable-thinking person would expect them to pay for the city’s past failures.

Mayor Bynum has opened up Pandora’s Box . . . And it will take someone with the wisdom of King Solomon to make a fair and just decision on this matter (see 1 Kings 3:16-28).

However, it is obvious, by the decisions being made every day, the wisdom of Solomon does not exist in any branch of our government; Executive, Judicial, Legislative. Only God can provide the right answer. Let us pray that God intercede in this vexing, divisive matter.

As a people, we must return to the Lord, and get right with God. God’s gift of salvation through Jesus, makes people right with God (see Romans 5:8-9 NCV). If you believe, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will be right with God.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9 KJV).

Do it today. Do not delay another moment.

Pray This Prayer for Salvation

“Jesus, I am a sinner, and I am sorry. Please forgive my sins and come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. I repent (turn away) from sin and I commit my life to you. I will study your word, follow your teachings, and obey your commands. And Lord, show me what you want me to do; what part I can play in furthering your kingdom. Thank you, Lord, for saving me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
